Archaeological find in Novorossiysk may be the only in Russia

Work on the construction of the gas pipeline has been put on hold here. Archaeologists have discovered an amazing discovery of the medieval era. Only about a meter under the ground found the burials of two dozen horses.

Archaeologists have unearthed here a herd. This is until latest find. Rich bronze bridle, hung with ornaments. The sword and the spear specialists suggests: the horse in the 12th century belonged to the notable person.

– On the face of the horse we see bronze plaques, suspension type bells. Part of the bridle is behind the horse. This, apparently, happened after the killing of the horse. Here is very amazing thing. Archaeologists suggest that the riders were from the tribe Kosogov. They lived on these lands in the 12th-13th centuries. According to their customs of the horses was taken to be buried together with the owner. The urn with the ashes of a warrior left on the surface and war horse were buried in the ground.

Unique archives – ancient tombs of Chinese dynasties showed Kharkovites

Ancient tombs of the Chinese dynasties at the plant. In the library of Karazin University opened the exhibition of archival documents. History finds tell local archivists: in the fifties the Soviet builders helped Chinese colleagues to build the mining plant. On site found nearly two thousand ancient graves of the beginning of our era.

Marat Balyshev, head of Department Central state scientific-technical archives of Ukraine: “Since it is a major industrial enterprise (I think it was 10-11 very large shops), there wasn’t supposed to be at the depth of any voids. Were these graves, and they were forced to pour concrete”.

The East – business thin. The archivists tell: the space under the Chinese and Soviet planners studied carefully and meticulously.

Evgeny Semenov, Director of the Central state scientific-technical archives of Ukraine: “the very subtlety of the study. Can you imagine: they even anthills were counted in all this vast territory – the area there, in my opinion, eight hundred hectares.”

Cini, Han, Tang, sui – which of the dynasties belong to the burial place the archaeologists were determined by the form. For example, the “big square hole” – typical for graves of the dynasty Zin.

Archaeologists have discovered the tomb of Sui dynasty Emperor Yang-di

Recently, a group of respected Chinese archaeologists came to the conclusion that discovered in the spring of this year in the city of Yangzhou (Jiangsu province) is the ancient burial place of the last haven of Sui dynasty Emperor Yang-di life years (569 — 618, reign of the 604 — 617). It is reported by China Daily.

In April 2013, the construction works were discovered two ancient tombs. The epitaph on one of them read: “Here lies sui Yang-di”.

After research, the experts confirmed that the discovered grave belongs to sui Yang di and his wife Empress Xiao. In the grave were found the teeth of the Emperor and the remains of a woman, as well as many objects of great value for science.

Before archaeologists discovered this tomb in Yangzhou already had a mausoleum of sui Yang di, located in the village of Hoyer village Juicy. This place was identified as the burial of sui Yang di scientist and statesman of the Qing dynasty Ruan yuan (1764 — 1849), who donated large funds for the erection of a mausoleum Yang di. Since the 80-ies of the last century this monument was restored several times, it became a popular tourist attraction and objectcontrol heritage, protected at the provincial level.

After the discovery of this tomb of sui Yang di, the fate of the false burial, said Ruan yuan, remains in question. But according to the representative of local organization for the protection of cultural property, despite the inaccuracy of the results of the survey Ruan Yuan, they still possess a certain historical value and will continue to be protected.
